  1. Well, since your a guy, I can't give you a first-hand account, but when I was in 8th grade, all the guys were either:

Skaters, Jocks, future almost rappers, or nobodies. I despise having to use so many labels, but I guess that's the best way to describe it to you. Sports and skating were the most valued male talents when I was in 8th grade. Being funny also was a valued trait. And your dating status. Like how many girls you dated.(I was in 8th grade two years ago, now I'm going to be a sophmore! Yay!)

    I hope this helped. :)

And lucky for you, friends are much easier to make in middle school by a landslide!

EDIT: If you seem like a really fun person, then making friends should be even easier!

  2. it's going to be terrible with friends or without. i'm sorry, dude. godspeed. middle school is never positive for anyone.

  3. wow that sucks

I actually got out of 8th grade to go into homeschooling

i went back and sat across someone and we became friends

its easy and your in the top of middle school grades. just be outgoing and dont hold back

  4. Hi!

Well, I hope it will be a great year for you!

I'm going into 8th Grade too!

But, I can tell you from 7th & 6th, that it's going to be quite lonely at the beginning, try to make friends, and be social. That will make school seem magical for you, and before you know it your graduating with them! (Well if 8th Grade is the last year).

Just, remember to make a good group of friends, ask them to come over once in a while.

Other than that, you will just get your schedule, textbooks, etc.

    Have fun!

  5. I'll be honest, it is going to be A LOT different than what you are used to. I was never exactly home schooled, but I did leave school for a while and get tutors because I was sick, etc. But I do know that I used to go to Catholic School, and when my parent's got divorced I started public school, and my first day there was alright, but I noticed I didn't understand what people were talking about a lot. Maybe try looking up some slang in case people talk to you in it. School is not like they make it seem on Television, it USUALLY is not filled with that much drama. The only thing you can hope for is to not feel awkward, and to find yourself a good group of friends.

I'm sure you will do positively fine :)
