How is the first day of high school like?

It's pretty exciting. I don't really remember my first day of high school, but it'll be slightly confusing when everyone (even upper classmen) try to find their classes, you get homework and see your friends, perhaps make some new ones.

Try to find your classes before the first day, it's one less stressful thing to do. Also try out various things--sign up for that club or that sport.

I'm just about to enter grade 12 and by now it isn't so bad. The first day of high school varies for everyone. Some people get extremly nervous, while others are relaxed and cool. I'm the kind of person who knows how to keep my cool so it wasn't so bad for me. But I was still nervous and even made a few mistakes, if that's possible. I didn't know my school had two lunch times, one for 11s and 12s and one for 9s and 10s so after lunch, I walked right in during my science teacher's lesson to her 12 biology class and sat down in a desk. She didn't notice luckily and when I realized I screwed up, I just walked out and waited outside. I was really embarassed, but I learned my school had two lunch periods that day. So really, high school is a whole new world and you might feel nervous or not understand what's really there. Just try to keep calm and learn your new surroundings. And remember that even though they might not show it, others are just as nervous as you are. They just handle it differently.

well for freshmans ( yes, thats what ur called as a 9th grader) u go to school a day before everyone else does basically to get familiar with school principal and the main people. they will tour the school and counselors will be there to help if needed. in my school what we did the first of school was we got our schedule and we to all 8 classes for about 15-20 minutes to get familiar with the teacher and class. and i think urs should be quite similar dont be afraid!
