  1. Rugby is often called "the game for animals played by gentlemen."

O.k real fast, the ball can only be passed back  or kicked forwards. when someone makes a 'Try' which is 5 or "touch down" that that team kick for 2, then get it back until the other team can recover the ball and get a Try. each round is 40 min long and their is two quarters.  and thats the game, theres more to it but i rather you watch it instead. look up

'New Zealand all Blacks.'  there a  really good team.

my bro will plays for them someday.

watch this video its of my team a small highlight

    below is more define

    1

    Step One

Assemble two teams of fifteen players each. There are eight forwards, who mainly get possession of the ball, and seven backs who mainly carry and move the ball.

    2

    Step Two

Start play with the defensive team kicking the ball to the offensive team. Run with the ball until tackled. You may also pass or kick the ball to a team mate, but you cannot pass the ball forward.

    3

    Step Three

Release or pass the ball if tackled. If released, the ball is open for anyone to take. Play only stops on a rules violation, two opposing players grabbing the ball (known as a ruck or maul) or the ball going out of bounds.

    4

    Step Four

Restart play with a scrum after a rules violation, such as a ball dropped forward or a forward pass, or a ruck or maul. This is when the forwards on the team lock up in a huddle and contest for the ball by kicking in backwards. The ball is thrown into the scrum by someone on the team that did not commit the violation.

    5

    Step Five

Restart play with a line-out if the ball went out of bounds. The forwards on each team line up facing each other. The team that didn't knock the ball out throws it back in, and the players contest for possession.

    6

    Step Six

Score five points for a try, which is touching the ball to the ground in the goal area. A kick is then attempted through the goalposts for two extra points.

    7

    Step Seven

Score three points for a goal, kicking the ball through the goalposts while in play.

  2. with alot of passion....

  3. It's like football and soccer fused together. It's a violent sport and you gotta be tough to play. Hope you don't bruise easy!

  4. don't confius...rugby is different with football!!

  5. there are 15 players on each team.8 forwards and 7 backs. forward are the big heavily built players wheras the backs are the smaller speedy players who pass the ball (which is oval shaped like an american football). The aim of the game is to run with the ball and touch it down behind the tryline to score a try. a try is the main sort of score. other ways of scoring include dropkicking and kicking from a tee. for more in depth info why not google "rules of rugby"

  6. It is a game played by girls.... the girls would try to pass a "ball" (if u know what i mean :) ) and try to get the "ball" into the "end zone" or "the goal spot" (if u know what i mean :)

If you ask me its a pretty good game.

  7. the following website gives excellent info.  go to the site and then click on the very upper left corner tab that says "FANS."  on that page scroll down and look for "spectator's guide to rugby" and you will find great illustrations and a nice breakdown of the rules and positions.  Once you read that, search for your local mens or womens rugby club team- most larger cities have one and check out a game!  you can also "find a club" on this website by entering some info, it will list the active teams and contact information including websites.
