Explain how throughout star wars, lucas (the writer/ director) reinforces the idea that humanity and nature are superior over technological power. Be sure to include more support than just the death star battle. Your essay should include several paragraphs of supports with references to the movie as evidence.

  1. There's several places where this shows up, some are more in keeping with your theme than others.

Right at the start, the robots end up lost in that giant desert, with a skeleton of a giant snake behind them.  The robots continue to have trouble with sand and the elements.  Even with technology, farming that world is obviously a hard life.

Obi Wan remarks that the old technology of a sword is more accurate that the modern 'random' blasters.

In the Death Star, a wild animal has taken up residence in the garbage dumps.

The humanity of Han Solo pretty much trumps the mechanical looking and acting stormtroopers every time.

When they are preparing to attack the Death Star, one of the pilots remarks that it would be impossible to attack the exhaust vent, and Luke counters that it will be 'just like shooting [somethingorothers] in the canyons back home.'

Obi Wan even triumphs over death itself and comes back to advise Luke at the climax of the movie.

And, of course, Luke turns off his targeting computer to go with the flow of the force.
