I am interested in visiting/moving to Canada from America because someone I'm close to lives there. What is the major difference in law between the two counties? Is there still freedom of speech, and religion? Pros, Cons? (Besides the cold ect)

  1. Yes, there is freedom of speech and religion in Canada. And as far as the cold, etc. - parts of the US are much colder than parts of Canada.

  3. The laws are not that much different. We have freedoms, a good deal many more than america. We have freedom of speech, and religion, of course. Our society is a secular one, meaning religion does not get a say in law, public schooling and general society. It is only cold in Canada, if you live in the far North. I live around 7 hours drive from the New York/Niagara Falls border, and it is 23 here today, too d**n hot. We have four beautiful seasons. Generous and accepting people. A great health care system. Abundant natural resources. Contrary to popular belief, it is not all that more expensive, nor do we pay outrageous taxes. I paid $2700 in federal tax, and $800 in school tax, not unreasonable considering our benifits. We have a higher quality of life, and we pay a tiny bit more for it.  The major difference  is you will not be permitted to carry a handgun here, you may consider that a con, but we do not.

  4. You came from china, just remind you don't speak about races, otherwise, people will call you racist.

Canada has a lot of asian, chinese is 3rd languige will surpass french to be 2nd in 2012

pro: benefits for all, con: very expensive, almost everything is 20 to 30% more than us.
