How is the living conditions in Seychelles? Food, accomodation, transport, weather etc?

Is it advisable to live and work in Seychelles? They call it a paradise. But is it a paradise for tourists or people who live there.

I believe it is more ideal for the tourists than the people who live there.  A couple of statistics I found on the net.   The one that stands out to most to me is per capita income (2005) of only $8682.  If you work 40 hour weeks and 50 weeks a year, that comes to around $4.25 per hour!!  Does this give you an idea??

Natural resources: Fish.

Agriculture: Copra, cinnamon, vanilla, coconuts, sweet potatoes, tapioca, bananas, tuna, chicken, teas.

Industry: Tourism, re-exports, maritime services.

I'm a local seychelloise, and yes its paradise for both locals and tourists, but it more for the tourists. Its a very harsh lifestyle here. Our wages don't cover our living expensenses even if we life cheaply.
