  1. Huh? Pardon me, but it's been in charge of them kiddies since waaay back. Thanks to media, societies have these annoying twats who takes on pointless risks (excluding those who were abused in some way) to prove how "mature" they are to handle whatever they do. Rather than being their own individual, they have the nerve to copycat their favorite idols, be it a famous celeb on tv or school. Oh, and if it seems it does go out of hand, rather than realize it by actually "thinking" first and quit it, they wanna demand more rights/privileges to be stupid.

Media, however, shouldn't be the one to blame in my opinion; it's those TWATS who take it upon theirselves to emulate what they see into a reality. I was only talking about the bad points though, media is not all that bad. :[

  2. Without prejudice, media influences tastes and preferences, and basically has fundamental influences on the behavior of youth both negatively and positively. The issue really is how to filter media in such a way as to allow only positive streams. This is virtually impossible.

Unfortunately, today's youth culture is one that is reckless, aggressive, trivial, arrogant, lazy, and less likely to pursue tertiary level education. The media tends to focus on issues that simply have a greater percentage of viewership, not on socially uplifting topiccs, and sadly these issues are often relative to celebrities and their lifestyles.
