How is the night life in Cancun in late Nov? I heard it is slow until late Dec.?

My buddy just got back and said it was dead down there. ther were only 15 rooms in the hotel fiiled, most the resturants in the hotel we closed. The nighlife was dull. I am going down Nov 29-Dec3 hoping its a little more fun!

With Hurricanes such as Wilma & Dean having been big on the news around the world, Cancun has suffered a decline in the number of tourists, especially in what was already Low Season. I had a group of 400 British soldiers in town last week, and they certainly livened the place up a bit, but it's still a long way from Capacity.

Places like Hooters, Senor Frog's and Coco Bongo seem to be pretty busy still, it's just the others that seem to be suffering, especially on week nights.

My people stayed in Oasis Cancun, and half of that hotel was closed, but they were taking that time to do repairs etc.

My next group of an equal number should arrive on around the 3rd December, and be staying in the other side of Oasis Cancun, which will not be busy until around the 15th December. If you can plan your trip to when the Soldiers are here, you'll have a great time, as they certainly know how to party after being in the jungle for 6 weeks.

Ooohhhh, and I nearly forgot, the other thing that is still busy...

The Party Hopper, which is at the moment, Congo Bar, Senor frogs & Coco Bongo... 7 hrs Open Bar.
