How is the ocean a source of fresh water to humans on land?

sun evaporates the ocean water..........pulls up only the h2o, not the salt.........and then it rains on the land..sometimes.........

Rainwater is our primary source of fresh water.  We collect it as it runs downhill (from high elevation to low elevation) in rivers, streams, etc.  Rainwater comes from ocean water-- as ocean water evaporates, the salt is left in the ocean and only the water molecules enter the atmosphere.
