there is but it is only in some parts of mindanao. Philippines has three major group.Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Philippines is a beautiful country. Friendly and hospitable people, nice beaches and beautiful landscapes. why not try visit our country to see for yourself. despite the war in mindanao, thousand of tourists still come to our country every month. some even want to retire here and other study here.  it only means that the country is still safe for tourists.

Depends where you go.  Manila is like most other big cities in Asia, though there is more poverty.  But like any big city, you just have to be streetwise and watch out.  Out in the far provinces, there are terrorist activities - but they seem to be localized to those areas, or used as bases for other activities outside of the country.

There is but it is safe anyway, the Philippines is in good condition, just becareful you might get held up when you're out.

if u want to see a mini new york? go to makati it has the best restaurants and bars

if you want to see white beaches and the cleanest of them all is palawan - this province has caves also

just be careful of people trust no one but yourself

The Philipines are okay. There are a lot of flies, whores,  jeepneys, and annoying street vendors.

idk bout tererist, but i know there are lots of touririst, largest numbers are koreans, followed by americans that came in packages for a joined philippine -american  military exercise called balikatan.
