The french side of Pondicherry is beautiful with beaches and friendly people . Some interesting shopping & music too. Main Pondicherry can be crowded depending on which time of the year you visiting.

Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Beach,

Among church Sacred Heart of Jesus is a must visit, Auroville.

Very nice! Been there 3 times already. People are friendly and you don't really feel out of place.

While there, you can visit Auroville and some other nearby areas.
