  1. It's helping in that our current president has done absolutely nothing to solve the problem (other than acknowledge that it exists), whereas all the current candidates with a chance of taking over his job next year realize that we need to do something about it.

All of the Democrats have plans to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by a large amount.

McCain supports a carbon cap and trade system.

Even Romney and Huckabee (who is a Creationist) have acknowledged that humans are causing global warming and we need to do something about it.

Unfortunately very little attention has been paid to the issue during the various debates (almost none, except that one snowman question in the YouTube debate), but fortunately the candidates all have good positions on the issue.  In fact just yesterday McCain said global warming was one of his top priorities.

  2. Well there is a lot of hot air being dispersed so I don't believe it is helping at all.  The planet MAY be acting as it naturally would.  You should read about global warming - both sides to the story.  I hate pollution and it should STOP.  But I have read a lot of evidence stating that CO2 isn't the issue and that CO2 has been MUCH HIGHER in the earth's atmosphere in the past when there was NO pollution.  That said, I think there is a lot of erroneous hype where we really need to simply say that noxious fumes and chemicals are just plain AWFUL for ALL of us.  Funny how China is such a GREAT PLACE to buy from - yet their pollution control is all but non-existant.  No one seems to be talking about that though.  Things are so nice and cheap from there so BIG BUSINESS has a very greedy vested interest in NOT making mention of this GLOBAL SMOKE STACK.

  3. All of the hot air being expelled by the politicians (on both sides) clearly contributes to global warming.

  4. It's not...& not applicable.  No global warming, just natural cycle of earth........

  5. With all the hot air politicians spew especially at election time I'm guessing its increasing global warming.

    :-)

  6. I feel we need to get done with the primaries and get who the actual candidates will be, before we know what our possible next President's stance on Global Warming will be.

  7. The election has nothing to with the current GW either positive or negative. Think before posting.

  8. Depending on who gets elected president, way could see sudden drastic action being taken. The government could finally step in and mandate MUCH higher fuel standards, development of clean renewable energy and less pollution.

Of course if the wrong person is elected we could move backwards. Like bush we could have a leader who lowers standards, repeals environmental laws and allows for more oil drilling.

For some reason or another the people like to support conservatives that would have them pay more for gas and breath more pollution. everyon complains about high gas prices, yet they fight tooth and nail to keep oil

  9. I imagine that all the air and bus travel of candidates and their entourages use create an abundance of pollution that is unnecessary, considering they could broadcast or web cast their messages. But there is a competition to see who can spend the most and fuel costs help them waste money that could be better used for the people they are giving lip service to. Anyway for those that believe pollution is the primary source of global warming - yes, the election is helping to warm our planet.
