How is the purse divided between lets say 7jockey's that raced?

10 % to the winner...is where the money is for owners/trainers/jockys...number of jocky"s in the race has nothing to do with the purse or pay off...special deals occur when you get involved with horses like BIG BROWN of course!

The winning rider will get 10%. Now the winner does not get the entire purse. It is shared by the first 5 finishers. The jockeys that rode those horses will get10% of the amount allotcated to their respected order of finish

The rest of the jockeys will get the basic riding fee, which is well under $100

And only the elite jockeys make the big money.
