  1. this is for land lines not cell phones. the bluetooth connects to the cell phone wireless just like the cell phone connects to the tower wireless.

  2. I think I understand, your cell phone, not the provider, either has "BlueTooth" capabilities installed or not.  "Connectivity" in your cell phone's menu will show "BlueTooth" if it is there.

My first "BlueTooth" purchase last September was the Motorola H700.  A good, adequate unit for the price, $40.00.  I, sometimes, not often would fade while listening or talking.  Wind and crowd noise effected communications as well.  My mother does not hear well and she would say I cannot hear you when using the H700 and I would speak louder.  Like I indicated, this is an adequate unit you will be satisfied for a first.

A Navy friend (on active duty) had a couple of hours layover at the Atlanta airport a month ago.  During our conversation I noticed his "BlueTooth" he was issued by the Navy.  He said he never from areas of noise, wind, anywhere, faded and all parties could be heard clearly.  I purchased and have used a month and he was right, no one complains, including my mom, all voice communication is free of static, noise, etc. on both ends.  JABRA JAWBONE, www.TigerDirect.com, approx. $89.00.

I do have friends, co-workers, etc. using the Plantronics and they like these.  Only complaint from most and why I did not consider, there good units plug into the ear, not for me.  I love my car stereo and our business owner said he had to remove to "get the beat" as well.
