  1. I never analyzed it that much.

    I just thought it was a very beautifully made movie.

    Why do we have to "read" stuff into almost everything these days?

    It was just a great movie.  Period.

  3. it's all about redemption. everyone one who was troubled in the novel eventually found god and peace within themselves.

  4. Good question. I suppose the heat of the Southern fields could be related to the scorching heats of Jerusalem and Galilee'  (if you want to look at it from a Christian perspective.) But I think it would be better to focus on (Nettie? Is that the sister's name?)'s African missionary camp. I think you would find more of God in their charity work there.
