  1. Chito is an idiot.  Ignore him.

The weather in Orlando is going to be really miserable vacation wise from the afternoon of 8/19 through most of 8/20 and possibly into 8/21.  Not life threatening or particularly dangerous if they stay off the road but rainy, windy, thunderstorms, etc.  Once the storm blows through, say by middle of the morning 8/21 or 8/22 things should be back to normal but it will probably be cloudy with the normal afternoon thunderstorms.  Probably the worst case scenario for your relatives is that they will lose power for a few hours due to a fallen tree or auto accident.  I wouldn't be surprised if theme parks close early tonight (8/19) and may not open or open late 8/20.  As of this writing (10:20AM Eastern Daylight Time) the weather is overcast with a mild wind.  It is expected to grow continually worse as the day progresses.

This is a tropical storm which means that it is very large, very slow, and very wet but not necessarily destructive (sustained winds in the 30mph range).  It's current projected path shows it curving around the eastern edge of central Florida.  That much time over land will slow it down - which means a bunch of rain for the next 2 to 3 days.  Your son and his family are going to have to deal with rainy days and intermittent sun for the next several days as the trailing remnants of the storm slowly plod across the state.
