Question:

How is the tennis racquet Head Microgel Extreme, mid plus?

I have just bought the racquet and am getting it strung. Any details will be helpful (like is it head heavy, balanced, or head light). I would be grateful from any past or current experience with the racquet. If their is any other information that you have, please type it. I am transferring from a liquidmetal radical oversized to the microgel extreme and am looking for more of a control racquet since I can generate power myself. I am an intermediate player who plays for my high school tennis team (second best in the state). Thanks a lot.

  1. Not a fan of that racquet. The intermediate isn't my style (very pure power player here).

It's a great racquet though. Lubicic uses it and while he hasn't has the best results he has been playing better since he switched. It is an advanced player's racquet actually and I have hit with it before at tennis cliniques. The midplus frame (I play with a midplus) can discourage a player used to the oversize racquets.

I guess if you're a solid intermediate player (which it sounds like you are) then you should definatly have sucess with this racquet. Be warned though, once you downgrade from a more powerful racquet you have to adjust your swing first.

    Best of luck

  2. The racquet is pretty stiff and its pretty balance. Overall its pretty decent.
