How is the weather in Colorado Springs?

Does the winter drag on and on? I don't mind snow but I also get tired of winter by like late February.

I lived in CO for over 50 years and find that the winters are less harsh than other areas I have visited.  Being a mile high into the earth's atmosphere in CO, allows the sun to warm the environment faster and melt snow sooner..especially on the roadways.  There will be heavy snows at times, but overall the  winter passes relatively quickly.  By late Feb and March, the days with sunshine will be comfortable and refreshing.  CO tends to have a high count of sunny days during the year.  Storms pass thru' and do not generally linger.  The beauty of the area and wonderful outdoor opportunities  more than compensates for the occasional winter snow storms.

Winter should be about all over by now.  Time for doggedly hot days and humidity.
