I also replied to your question under the Phoenix section. Even though it is still very hot in Scottsdale in September, you can still travel to other cooler areas for a day trip. Sedona, Payson, the White Mountain area are all gorgeous in September.

Hot and dry. Not exactly my ideal place for a honeymoon.

The first week is or two it is still hot but then it cools off the third or fourth week. Average high around 85-95.
