  1. Weather Underground has historic weather forecasts for almost everywhere, including Switzerland. Just pick the city and date.

  2. Depends on where. In the mountains it is cold but in Zürich it is moderate and excessive clothing is not necessary. A good chance of lots of rain

  3. It depends which part of Switzerland you want to visit. The climate here is different from region to region.

The average temperature here is about 10°C today and it reaches normally at 23°C in the middle of March. It's basicly rainy season now & somehow windy otherwise a bit cloudy in between. So in the beginning of April, the weather should be hotter & less rain. However...

I would recommend you to bring:

    - a rain coat or umbrella just in case

    - a light sweatshirt for night walk, usually it's pretty cold in the hotel room during night time.

    - don't have to bring bulky winter clothes, summer clothes would be fine.

    - if you will visit Swiss mountain, such as Mount Pilatus, Titlis, Zermatt or Engelberg or other high altitude places, I would recommend you to bring long trousers, long arm shirts & a Jacket. Because it's always cold up there, although it's sunny.

  4. It can be quite warm, but also cool, even chilly.  Weather changes quickly in April in Central Europe.  Bring an umbrella with you, but also light & warm clothes as well.  Also check for the weather in Switzerland a few days before you leave on the Internet, like "Yahoo Weather", etc.

    Enjoy your trip!
