It's after the rainy season, it cooler and its safe.

Temperature is around 73 degrees to 90 degrees over the month they'll get about five inches of rain.  For safety as long as act as you would to stay safe in your home country you'll be fine.

If you don't drink to excess or take drugs , go places unaccompanied after dark,act overly flirtatious, or dress inappropriately (Thai women are actually conservative about dressing, they like to be stylish but they're offended by nudity)

you should be fine.

Just be street smart and use your common sense.  Always be paranoid that something could happen to you.  The crime is not that bad in Thailand but there are lots of single foreign women who got murdered.  And in their cases it seemed they were not careful, drunk, on drugs.

Thais always scam foreigners by jacking up prices of everything.  Make sure you bargain hard.  Don't let them take advantage of you.  

Other than that have fun!  It's a beautiful place to visit.

Crimes most prevalent against tourists are "stealth" crimes such as pickpocketing, scams with credit cards, or confidence tricks with fake goods or gemstones.
