How is the weather like in Cancun in late August?

I might be visiting Cancun and I would like to see how the weather is like in August.

Yep 90's in the day , low 70's at night.

August falls into the " rainy season " catagory. Hurricanes can develop and ruin a travellers visit much less the locals.

Humidity has been going up and up since early May and clouds dsvelop and a passing thunderstorn is pretty much the norm during august. Much like Florida. It build and build and then late afternoon it pours and then the sun returns for a gorgeous sunset. The colors bounce around the large puffy clouds and is incredible.

mosquitos are rampant in August as well as the humidity.

You might think this is the norm throughout the year  but to be honest it's not.

From October thru April its paradise with no rain , no clouds , Perfect - high 80's in the day to high 60's at night. Low humidity and mosquitos. Just paradise and it never changes !

We don't really have seasons just the small changes as I written about. 2 seasons - rainy and not. Its really different - no need for a weather forcast and doppler radar - it never changes - a cloud is a big deal. You kinda lose track of the months without seasons like elsewhere in the world.

it nice as you know what to wear everyday and it just simply never changes except for the rainy season - June thru Sept.

Bring insect repellent , small rain coat and keep your eye on the sky. Hope mother nature is on your side regarding hurricanes and always buy trip insurance for these months when travelling here.

My favorite time for people to visit me is November thru April. Cold in the states and paradise here !

We were there last year in August, it is really hot, and muggy, but if you stay by the pool or beach it ain't so bad, but when you go out and about the town it is hot.
