It can be quite warm. When I was there in September 2006, I had brought a bunch of sweaters. I didn't have enough clothes for warm weather--especially when I was hauling all my luggage through the streets of London. I had to break down and buy another short sleeved T-shirt at Marks & Spencer in Oxford.

Be prepared to layer clothes. If you've got a T-shirt on under a sweater, you're in good shape if the sun should burn through a cool and foggy morning.
