Reviewing internet weather sites, it must be constantly raining during the last part of May and the first part of June. The internet weather site average rain fall for Lake Como in May is 6.9 inches of rain and 5.5 inches in June, while other northern cities, including Milan, averages 3.0 to 2.5 inches during the same time period. I have reservations on Lake Como but now not sure if it is constantly raining at this time.

  1. No, actually Como and Lago di Como are very nice places. The weatcher in the whole northern Italy is very much like California...so when it rains it might rain for 3-5 days...or just one day. Usually Italy is dry in summer. Lots of sun.

  2. Well, I live near Como and I can say the weather is generally warm in that part of the year, it doesn't rain a lot. These last years (I mean 2005 and 2006) are a bit unusual, we have hot weather in June and July (average around 30°C) , but it costantly rains in August. This year winter has been quite warm and April was like June normally is. It rains since a week now, and it won't stop so soon.

You just have to have good luck!!
