  1. lol...you can never tell here in the UK...it SHOULD be warmer when you come but chances are...we will still have a little rain & a little wind at times....so the evenings can get chilly.

just bring a mixture of clothes...including a warm fleece & a brolly & you will be fine - i hope you have a lovely time here!!

  2. Sunny and quite hot. I live near London, but I will say, it is definetly unpredictable weather here, one min it's raining, the next it's hot and sunny...

  3. the weather in england is terrable ... bring an ubella

  4. Right now in Manchester, it's sunny. But an hour ago, we had torrential rain... I had to go and find my cat and dry her off with a towel

My accuweather plugin on firefox says it is currently 15'c here, will be 18'c on Monday, 21'c on Tuesday and 22'c on Wednesday.

    So it's getting progressively hotter...

to convert that to Fahrenheit, time it by 1.8 and add 32.

    ie 20'c = 36 + 32 = 68'F

  5. You can never tell in the UK, the weather is so unpredictable in any season. Usually in mid July, it's quite hot averaging at about 20-30C (on a good day) during the day, with either clear skys, sunny spells or quite a bit of cloud, but you will never know when it will rain. On a bad day, it would be about 15-20C probably with a complete overcast with clouds and rain. During the night, temperatures range within 8-16C, sometimes around18C on a really warm night.

London will always be 1-2C higher than the rest of the country (pollution).

Portsmouth, will be the same as Manchester and London, just windier since it's on the coast.

Manchester, will be no different from Portsmouth or London either.

The weather isn't necessarily becoming hotter, just moreso unpredictable. It's been all over the place for a while, last year we had terrible floods, the year before that we had more floods, the year before that we had heat waves galore. I remember temperatures reaching about 38C, which for a nation of which temperatures can lower to -12C in some places, is very hot!

  6. I am just outside of Manchester and it is cool and raining, it was quite pleasant this morning when it was not raining about mid sixties, Portsmouth and London will be much warmer than Manchester, But if the sun comes out it can be really warm.

  7. It is always terrible.  Why do you think Brits always complain about it..
