Life is what you make it at Aramco.  Depending on expectations and your ability to roll with the flow the experience can be fantastic.  If you think your moving to the suburubs of Austin TX and can do what ever you want, you will not be happy.  Mother Aramco goes out of the way to do the righ thing, however, some people are not happy unless they have something to complain about.

are you going to be inside Aramco housing compounds? or are you a contractor just working with Aramco?

If you are an actual Aramco employee and living inside the compounds.. You will think you are living in middle class America.. its totally different from living on the outside in Dhahran and Khobar.. It has a very westernized American feel to it.. Very open.. (and all english)

First you need to find out, are you getting direct employment with Saudi Aramco or contractor? Aramco has 60000 employees and 1,40,000 contractors. They hire people through diff vendors. only one third of staff are aramco employee rest are contractors.

They have western work culture and you will see many westerners here. Salary depends on your grade and your passport. if you have american or british passport you will get 2 times of the salary offered to asians.

If you are an employee of aramco and if you get place to live in aramco compound then nothing like it. You will never feel you are in saudi.It is like living in some western county. Women can drive and they are not require to wear abaya. You have gymnasium, golf , tennis court.. you name a thing and you will get that.

Life inside compound in amazing then then any other place in saudi.

Aramco have its own fleet of aircrafts 27 A320, largest feet of  aircrafts in world. They have everything big. If you are an aramco employee you will never leave it. There are american whose 4th generation are working with Aramco.

well, the Salary depends on your nationality and qualifications. Living there is like living anywhere else in Saudi Arabia as long as u can handle the hot weather. Saudi Arabia is a very modern country these days. Millions of foreigners  are working everywhere in Saudi Arabia. English is the second language in Saudi Arabia and it is widely used everywhere.

....if you'll be hired a direct Aramcon its good for you.....most educated Saudis and expert expatriates are working in Aramco.....its one of the best company to work for in the kingdom aside from the great benefits you will receive by your family and guaranteed retirement program when you retire from work......
