I would go out and get a 3B. Maybe go out and deal for David Wright or even A-rod. You can even try starting Emmitt Blackburn and try to get produciton out of him. Your pitching staff looks good. Vernon Wells can be traded to get a good CF who is a little younger. Try for maybe Ellsbury, or Taveras.

you got 20 mil left, that means you still have enough to get a big player, but under 10 million will go your cap room

if your team is contending on july 31st, go to the something section in the menu (i forget what its called and you can look if all the teams are a team rebuilding or in a playoff push state

if youre in a tight race go trade your young players for one of the best guys (offensively) on a team that is rebuilding

your pitching is great, but you could use another bat

edit your players to make them all better....go to view roster under player management and then hit "x" on a players name and it will let you edit that player

why the thumbs down?  he asked how to make his team better cheaply and this dont cost him anything

u need that 1 or maybe even a 2nd home run guy. u should go get like a old david ortiz for a year and a young guy who might be the equivalent of what ryan braun is now.
