How is this selfish??

Question

When I get older, I don't want to have kids. The thing is my parents want me to. I really don't because I don't have the patience for little kids. When I ge older, shouldn't I be the one to decide whether or not I want to have kids?

Ultimately it is your choice. Who knows somewhere down the line you might change your mind. Either way its still your choice.

Yeah, you should decide. Your parents just want grand kids. But you may feel differently when you get older. You never know.

It's not selfish at all.  It's smart to know what you want or don't want and if you don't think you'd be a person to deal with little ones then it's best to not have them.  If your parents are upset and trying to talk you into it just try not discussing it with them or find another kind of answer that will keep them quiet for a while.  Good luck.

It depends  on what you children will be . You should ask about their purposes and yours as well.

yes you should be the one to decide. and maybe you and your partner can talk about it, but dont have kids just because your parents want you to.

you are not being selfish you made a decision at least you are not having kids and beat them because you dont have the patience for them..congrats on that

yeah of course it's your decision !

i wouldn't be set on not having kids though cause when they're actually your's you find the patience for them.

hahaa i don't want kids either. but we'll see !
