Question:

How is this supposed to work??

Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho are supposed to have an "unsanctioned" match at Unforgiven. What I don't get is: if this match is unsanctioned, why would WWE be advertising it for their next PPV(other than the fact that they're trying to keep the Jericho-Michaels rivalry going)?

Also, I have a seperate wrestling question: Does anyone else think it's a bad idea for Ken Shamrock to potentially fight Kimbo Slice. I mean, what is Shamrock now, 40? He's old. Too old to fight anymore imo. Anybody else have a thought?

  2. are u crazy have u seen shamrock fight He can kick some ***.

  3. 1. Well, your first question is because they want a lot of people to watch Unforgiven. The more people, the more money. Also, this feud between HBK and Y2J is becoming really good and exciting from fans and wrestlers perspectives. Also, Shawn Michaels has been in the buisness for a long time so a numerous amount of people know about him and like him. If they see that he is in a match, people are bound to watch it.

    2. I agree and disagree. A lot of wrestlers still fight over the age of 40. Wrestlers like Finlay, who by the way is 49, still wrestlers like a real champion. Ken Shamrock has had wrestling experience his whole life. I think that no one is too old to accomplish things. Ken Shamrock quit wrestling though and all of a sudden he's back in to fight? That's really sudden though.

  4. Yes,it's all hype.But it's good for buisness.

I think I'd love to see Shamrock and Slice go at it.You know slice is a bad dude, but you haven't seen him on the ground and I think Shamrock if he could put him down has a chance to win.And he's still in great shape.

  5. Because the word unsanctioned is kayfabe.

its all storyline, wcw did it alot too.

just think of it as a hard core match

  6. unsanctioned means that the wwe isn't held liable for injuries, just another one of vinces stupid ploys he stole from wcw

    ken shamrock rulez

  7. me neither . Batista is 39 and he fights !

  8. When the WWE considere a match "unsanctioned", then they are just trying to promote a match and make others feel as if their feud has finally come to the very top and very personal that it's sounds dangerous. Unsanctioned is just a hardcore match and they ony added the word "unsanctioned" just to heat up the feud. Expect blood and hatred.

Ken Shamrock is a bit old for UFC but he still can kick ***.Lets just say he ain't at his best currently.

  9. Right now I just think it means they'll run a contract signing angle in the next week.  If that isn't the case, WWE could hype this up as something they're not legally bound to, i.e.-they wouldn't be responsible if one person killed the other.  Now we know this is storyline, but this may just be a way for WWE to hype this up as a brutal and ruthless encounter.

I think Shamrock can take Slice.  From all I've gathered about Slice, he's nothing but standing game, whereas Shamrock is a well-rounded MMA fighter.  I don't think age is ever an issue in MMA, but skill is.  I'm not saying that Slice couldn't catch a well placed punch and knock Shamrock out within the first round, I'm just saying I think brawlers like Slice tend to be too dependent on their fists.
