If you're the Lakers u don't really care about giving up Mihm, he's not really played a whole lot the last 2 years anyway, and u like being able to shed Luke's contract.  Giving up Ariza is a slight disappointment, but u get a definiteupgrade in Rudy g*y who could be a future star so it's obvious that for the Lakers this is a winner.

Why Memphis would do it is a whole other idea, if they felt like Mihm could stay healthy he'd be a good back up big man as they are a bit short, and Ariza's athleticism is a good addition, but the real deal breaker is giving up Rudy and taking on a longer contract with Luke.

Good for the Lakers another give-away for the Grizzlies. Mihm, Walton, and Ariza are solid players but I doubt the Grizzlies will give Rudy g*y in return. Plus the fact that Memphis will acquire Walton's 5 years remaining left on his contract is a no-no. Lastly, Rudy g*y is clearly the face of the franchise in Memphis.
