  1. Sweet and dry Vermouth is an aperitif wine and can be served chilled or on ice.

Dry vermouth is used to make a martini ( 2 oz. of gin or vodka and 1/4 oz of dry vermouth) served on the rocks or straight up with an olive or lemon twist.

A popular drink is the half and half (one oz. of dry vermouth mixed with one oz. of sweet vermouth over ice with a twist of lemon).

As for storage, they don't need to be refrigerated unless you plan to store them for a long period of time.

  2. all vermouth is served at room temp.  you use it in martinis and that's it!

  3. It is served in my mouth.

  4. Dry vermouth (clear) is used in martinis.  It's also very good as the added liquid in omelets and scrambled eggs, which I discovered by accident.  Sweet vermouth (red) is used in Manhattans with bourbon, or in Rob Roys, with Scotch.
