  1. In best of 3, you don't have to play the third period if you win the first two because 2 > 1.

The cost of playing for a school team ($20/season for knee pads) would be lower than playing for a club team ($2000-$5000 per season).

The dimension of the court, area, perimeter... height of the new, the poll, those antennas, the ref (and how far can he see :)...

The dimension of the ball, surface area, volume... weight...

The weight of your medals (invaluable of course).

Your own weight-fitness, how high can you jump, how high can you touch, how many can you serve (19 out of 20 equals to 95%...), kill percentage, ace percentage...

  2. Cary is correct.  The trigonometry of the angles.  And the physics.

You want the ball to go to a certain place.  How hard do you hit it and what angle do you start the contact?

  3. Play volleyball don't need to use Brain.

    Just apply THUNDER ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  4. the angle of hitting the ball

  5. It is related to physics - such as the laws of physics apply.

    eg.

Relating to the laws of motion and inertia.

Opposing forces cancel each other out. You see it happening all the time when a spiker meets a blocker at the exact same time. When you are the later (coming in late) force coming into this situation, you will see that you will become the victor of this clash.

Your motion can be added to the inertia of the ball - so instead of the typical losing control of the ball because you are rushing in - you slow down before impact, to compensate and gain complete control.

When you see pros playing beach volleyball, say - you see with their dig, they do a kind of reverse movement, to absorb some of the impact of the ball, upon receiving a serve.

In these examples (more may come to your own mind) you can do the maths (with physics - mathematical calculations can be done on these examples) - ie. apply the mathematics.

Maybe some site will have the formulaes?

  6. Angle of hitting the ball.

    Height of net.

    Dimensions of court.

  7. math relates b/c of the position that the players are in and how far they can go up or back........there is no math in the distance or angel the ball should go b/c where direction you would like the ball to go......point your thumbs!!!!

  8. I guess it could be related to science with the bernouillies principle and they way the ball flys over the air

but im not too sure that its related to science

  9. Speed, velocity, angles, spins, density, and lots more.
