How is youR hand suppose to look when you serve the volley ball? (the hand you are using to hit the ball with)

Big, strong firm open hand with your fingers pointing to the ceiling.  Make sure your hand is not ****** sideways and you also want your wrist to be really firm, like you are trying to stop someone from bending your wrist back.  When you contact the ball, use only your palm.  Your fingers are the weakest part of your hand and you don't want to use those to serve the ball over the net.

When i serve under hand, 1) i make my hand into a fist, with my thumb at the side and hit the ball with from the side that i would make a thumbs up from; that gave me better aim.  I also served under hand, 2) hitting from the palm side of my fist, that gave more height to my serve.  I like the first one better from underhand.

On overhand, i think you're supposed to have an open palm when hitting the ball, so that you could spin it, but i serve it with my fingers close together (no gaps)

Either flat (open palm) like you would slap something if you are serving overhand. If you are serving underhand than make your hand like a fist but don't put your thumb on top of your fingers, put it on the side of your forefinger...like a sign language letter "A".

Your hand should be open with your fingers spread wide apart and stretched back so the only part the ball touches is your palm...

Hi there I'm on a pro's volleyball team and you can either have the hand you hit the ball with straight and all you fingers are together exept your thumb, you want alittle space between your index finger and thumb. The other way is all your fingers are spread apart, not a lot of space between them maybe 3 cm.    Good luck!!!
