  1. Numerical equivalent of grades:

    A+ 4.33

    A 4.00

    A- 3.67

    B+ 3.33

    B 3.00

    B- 2.67

    C+ 2.33

    C 2.00

    C- 1.67

    D+ 1.33

    D 1.00

    D- 0.67

    F 0.00

For each class, multiply your final grade's numerical equivalent by the number of credits you recieve for that course. Then find the average of all these values (add them up and divide by the number of classes)

  2. It depends on the school your applying to for colleges or the high school you are attending.

I know that Johns Hopkins takes grade from 90-100 and make that an A, 80-89 B, and so on.

Also, high schools in Virginia, Fairfax, GPA is calculated with

    4.0: 94-100

    3.7 93-88.

    and a whole scale

and the Potomac County in Maryland views GPA same as Johns Hopkins which is

    90-100 4.0

    89-80 3.0

    and so on!

  3. mine is done on a 4.0 scale, but with extra quality points for honors and ap classes.

    90-100=A= 4.0

    80-89=B=3.0

    74-79=C=2.0

    70-73=D=1.0

you would add 1.0 to an ap class, and a .5 to a honors course, you take your class, find its numerical value, add all these values to gether and then divide by the amount of classes you took. i ended up with a 4.406 when i graduated due to all the higher level classes that i took, but with an absolute scale, no extra quality points, i only had a 3.946.

  4. 'Whats' is nearly correct, but on a 4.0 scale you can't get above a 4.0, so A = A+ = 4.0.  Multiply that number by the number of credits the class is worth, add them all up, and divide by the total number of credits,
