I do mine on the treadmill for about 25 min total. 5 warm up, 15 intervals, 5 cool down.

Warm up

5.4 mph - 6.0 mph

Intervals

9.0 mph for 1 minute

3.0 mph for 1 minute

Repeat several times.

Cool down

3.0 mph

That is pretty much my workout. I do it 3 times a week. What is yours like if you do it?

  1. What I do is  this thing called aerobic intervals when you just up your speed a bit for 1 minute then jog lightly for 1 minute. So I probably go like 8.0 mph and 5.5 mph and then I do that  4 times and then each week I do it longer like 1:30 minutes instead of 1. It works on speed.

I also do these things called gentle pickups which is when you gradually up your normal speed over 100 meters to about 90 percent of all out then go at that speed for about 20 to 30 meters then you walk to recover. I repeat this 4 times.

Normally I run those two workout plus about 20 miles a week.

It works and I am gradually increasing the mileage

    Your workout looks good though!
