  1. About 10 feet or so. Pastels are not necesarily dwarfs unless they are.

  2. The Pastel Colombian Boa's can reach upto 12 feet in some cases they can get larger but they normally reach max length at 12 feet

  3. Pastels are neither a dwarf or an actual morph of boa, but rather just a color phase resulting in a boa with some pink or similar coloring on its side. Pastels are often confused with hypo, or salmon boas, but hypos are an actual morph resulting in reduced black pigmentation, showing more of the underlying colors, whereas a pastel has some added coloration and no reduction in black pigment.

On average, male Colombians grow 6 to 7 feet, but can get slightly longer. Females grow about 8 feet or so but they are quite capable of reaching lengths of 10 feet or more. And females become very thick bodied, whereas males are smaller and more slender.

Colombians are given the scientific name of Boa constrictor imperator. There are a few dwarf boas also of this subspecies, with Hogg Island boas being one of the more popular and common in the pet trade. They average around five feet in length, with six feet being the maximum. I have an adult male which is five feet in length and is a really nice looking snake, even with his often poor attitude. Colombians are probably the most docile of all of the different types of boas and are undoubtedly the most popular of all the boas.
