How large is a DVR and are they easy to?

figure out? We're getting one tomorrow and I'm really excited because I love certain shows I can't always watch when they come on. Can you give me ANY information about them as I've never had one -- I just remember the OLD days where we "taped" shows.....is it that simple?????

It's exceedingly simple.  That's about all there  is to that!  Generally, they are about the size of a dvd player.

i don't really know how big it is, but they are easy to use. i can't even remember how i lived before we got our DVR! i tape everything. you get a special remote with a recording button and you go over the show you want to tape, press the record button, and there you go! it's really simple, you'll get the hang of it as soon as you start using it.

oh, and it's even easier than the old days of taping things! lol.

It is about the size of a VCR and much easier than a VCR to record things. I love my Tivo! Of course I don't know what kind you are getting but I am sure they are all pretty much the same.

This is so simple, my husband and my mom can use them.  This makes television fun again. you will love it.  The book will help but most of the information will be on the screen. Buy two identical remotes well worth it.

i have DVR and its just a flat box, about the size of a DVD player..its super great to the max because you can freeze live TV like if you need to go to the bathroom or answer the door or something then you just unpause it when you get back and dont miss a beat, its pretty cool. oh, and its easy to use it has self explanitory buttons on the remote.

yea they're pretty simple. they're not that big either. i always helped my dad install them. I'm 15 and I can work one out. all you need is that control and you'll figure things out on your own.

It's easier than taping them. I have TiVo and I really don't know how I lived with out it.
