  1. As a table installer, I would recommend at least five feet around the table; no less than 14.5 feet by 19, anything more is great .   This allows for normal game play with a full length cue.

I know every manufacturer in the world says differently.  So what.  They have to sell tables.  If they measure using a 52" cue they come up with room dimensions closer to most homes.  More people think they have the room and buy more tables.  Manufacturers make more money.

If I had a dime for every house I went into that pre-hung a light or patterned the entire tile floor, only to find out they should be almost a foot farther from the wall,  I would be loaded!!

  2. id go at least 20x20 i mean u probably going to have things in beside just a table right

  3. Most people will say a minimum of four feet on each side of the table but I don't think a table should have anything less than five feet of room on each side. The room size for a nine foot table using those standards should be 10.5' x 19'. That's just for the table and the ability to play without any obstructions near the rails. You will need as much as an additional three to five on each side for chairs, tables, etc. The link below has a feature to help you design your game room.

  4. 8ft all around I like lots of room

Just my opinion I quit giving answers

  5. The minimum room size for a 9' table is 13'10"x18', but you can get away with smaller if you buy short cues to use when the ball is on the rail. That is not ideal, but if you want the larger table (like most serious players) it is an option.

Here is a link to a room chart.

  6. as large as you want it.

  7. Ok, the table itself will take up about 10' by 5'....depending on the width of the rail. Now you take into consideration room to shoot. The average cue length is about 58 inches or ~5 feet long. So, assuming that the tip of your cue won't need to swing back any further than the edge of the table, that would add 5 feet to the table dimensions. So, 20' by 15' would be the minimum that I would want. Now, I'm tall (6'4", so my stance is actually longer than the cue so I would want another foot (21' by 16').

If you choose a shorter cue you could get away with less.

  8. Ideally you'll want to have at least 5 feet on all sides.  For a 9 foot table, about 14-15 ft. by 19-20, I'd say...
