How late in the season should a beginner skier consider ski trips? Does Spring Snow impact learning ski skills

  1. You can start whenever..the sow in the spring is just normally heavier and wetter because in the spring it is warmer and it melts faster. So it make its a ittle bit harder to turn i would say. But overall if you havent skiied that much before the i don;t think you would be able to tell the difference.


  2. Keep going to the slope until the resort closes the beginner slopes, by that time you should be able to ski the more advanced slopes with confidence.  You learn to ski better by taking lessons and practice, practice, practice.  The more you ski the faster you will get better.

    Spring snow like all conditions change as the weather changes. I skied fairly dry powder this morning until about noon, after lunch it changed to mush and every run a challenge. This improved my skills quickly.

    Take a lesson every trip, it will help your skiing.

  3. Spring is the low season, so ticket prices will be cheaper.  Also, the snow will be soft and slushy so it won't be so scary to crash.  

    And it will be warm and sunny.  

    I think that spring trips are great for beginners.
