The terms of our bonus policy was changed after our goal dates. How Legal is this?
I work for a nationwide corporation. IN 2005 they were sued in a class action lawsuit for fraudulent payroll procedures and many employee's benefitted from the 13 million dollar judgement. ( I was not at the company at that time. )
Now I entered the glorious world of middle management. We have a set of goals provided to us as an incentive to ante up our performance, the goals are given every 3 months and these started Jan1- March 31 of 2008. This is a company policy and I was told that I achieved 90% ( ecellent) of my own goals. My manager submitted our request in April for reimbursement. ( IT'S MAY AND WE HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANYTHING)
My senior manager and her general manager asked me to meet with them last week. Our Corporate office stated they have change the policy under which our bonus ( s) fall under and that it is retro active starting January 1st of 2008. This was shared with us in May 17th. Several other offices in our corporation have been in the same boat.

The corporation on a whole is not doing very well. However being a Nursing manager like we are, we are not 100% based on profits. TO changed out goals and policy to purely make them " you will get a bonus only if your company performs to financial level" does not fall under the guidelines under which a HOSPICE is regulate by.....
How legal is this? My general manager stated she feels like it's another class action lawsuit.

I didn't think it was a labor law violation. I was making a reference to the history of the company in regards to legal action.
