I haven't had my period yet or atleast I don't think. Recently everytime I use the bathroom I find a fresh small amount of blood. Every couple hours I need to change my underwear so it won't go through. What does this mean?

  1. okay I'm 14 and stop changing your underwear and put on a pad honey because this is your first PERIOD!! so go ahead tell your mom and go shopping for more pads. tampons can be used after you get use to pads. and sometimes it can get pretty light where its a couple of drops for the whole day (spotting) and sometimes its so heavy you leak through you pad. if yours is light then use thin pads or pantyliners. if its meduim use regular pads and if its heavy use maxi pads. and also wash there frequently to avoid infections and change your pad every 4-6 hours. you can also buy wipes to use while your on the go to feel fresh all the time (well most lol). if you have anymore questions e-mail me!!

  2. I am a CMA

If you are on Birth Control it is normal , if you are sexually active and it is light pink or brown it could be implantation bleeding... If you are new to your period it is normal to have so called break through bleeding..

It is normal if you are expecting your period to actually bleed a little one day and then nothing the next day and then a full blown period after that
