  1. I'm a twin and I keep having dreams I'm going to have a set of twin a boy and a girl and my husband and I are trying to concieve and he's getting pretty happy about it. It's quite funny. But yes usually it does skip a generation. My grandmother's cousin in my family are twins so yeah if that helps

  2. I certainly do.  Although I think it was a freak 'accident'.  I used to cheerlead with a set of identical twins and their mother was half a set of identical twins (their aunt obviously being the other half).  Now the REALLY weird part was that the girls looked just like their mother (and their aunt!) and the aunt had a daughter just a year younger than the twins and that girl looked just like her mother.  It was looking at identical triplets!  Pretty wild.  That is the only case I have heard of.

  3. It depends on alot of factors. Firstly twins run on the female side of the family, a male twin is no more likely to have twins then any other man, a female twin however does have a higher chance (or the daughter/granddaughter ect of a twin, male or female). It also depends on whether you're fraternal or identical. Because of the way that identical twins come about into existence, everyone has en equal (and very small) chance of having identical twins, there is no known way to increase your odds, including heredity. A female fraternal twin (or descendant) would have an increased likelyhood of having a set of fraternal twins, though the exact percentage of the increase isn't really know. BTW, twins skipping a generation is a myth, a female twin has just as much chance of having twins as the daughter of a twin.
