How likely is it that I would damage newly planted vines after , say 6months to 1 year??

Question

have area that I am wishing to grow vines , such as clematis, trumpet vines, etc.

how easy would it be to transplant them after 6 months to one year?

when would be the best time to do this?

why and how so?

Transplant them during the dormant period, during late autumn or winter.
