My 2 week old girl will stay up for sometimes 2-3 hours at a time even at night. She isn't hungry or wet.

  1. My newborn slept straight through the night since the day we bought her home from the hospital and it seemed like for the first month all she wanted to do was sleep, she is 3 months now and still sleeping through the night with one 3 hour nap during the day and 2 half hour naps in between!

  2. She will regulate her day/night in the coming weeks, but for now she'll just be up for a while, then sleep for a while around the clock.  Just try to enjoy the time by watching a movie or spending quiet time together and snuggling.  I would definitely keep rooms darker at night/light during the day to help her "internal clock" learn the proper rhythms.

  3. newborns sleep for certain amount of hours during the day and night, they will give u a tough time for the first couple of months, I am having a problem with mine as well.

  4. this is when you develop their sleeping habits, thats normal

  5. it is completely normal that way they say that you loss more sleep in the first couple months then any other time

  6. mine is 2 weeks old too!

--she gets up every 2-3 hours.

--it will pass as she gets older

--have 2 older children age 3 and 5
