How llong do you need to play with your parrotlet?

Question

around how many hours daily? also is it okay if they are in their cage for 6 hours 5 days a week? But they equally have 4-5 hours out of their cage ?

i mean 6 hours straight and then 4-5 hours outside,

Keep lot's of toys in his cage while you are away from home. Parrotlets LOVE toys. Mine love swings, hanging toys with strings and beads, toys that have papery pieces that they can chew. You can even take a slinky (plastic) and securely attach it to the top and bottom of your cage, they love slinkys and will climb up and down them. Make sure that it is attached really well so it doesn't collapse while your bird is in it.

Mine stays in his cage all day while I am at work. Their is no set time for playing with your p'let.  I have a small portable parakeet playgym for him that he sits and plays on, and I can take him from room to room. While you are on your computer or watching t.v.- he may be content to sit with you and snuggle. If you are busy doing something- put him on his playgym.
