How local people at Selangor treat foreigners ? Is friendly enough ?

How about Malaysian people's behavior with foreigners? Is it ok?

In Selangor near UPM?

They are friendly with foreigners. But in urban areas the attire and clothing worn by western women may not be taken note of. remember most of them are strict Muslims. In interior areas, they are expected to cover the hair at least. Similarly low neck (as per their norms) upper garments are not acceptable.

I would not specially aim at just the selangorian. All malaysians are generally very friendly ppl. Due to the mix culture they have, you wouldn;t feel like the odd one out. Dress decently and try not to draw too much attention and look like the odd one out....no one would say anything to you, not forgetting its a muslim country afterall.
