With proactive steps like the montreal protocol being undertaken on an international level. How long will it take for the hole in the ozone to heal?

  1. It's already closing.  We have only observed it for a few years and for all we know it has always waxed and waned.

    Don't think it is because of a ban on CFCs either.  The amount of CFC's in the atmosphere is about the same as it was at the time they were banned.  Many countries, like China and Mexico, still produce CFCs.


  2. It would take a freaking miracle to stop the negativity that's ruining so much, ban and make it illegal for the harmful agents!

    Here's an idea i have been trying to spread like this wildfire I'm so close to, make whats good for the planet cheaper, and whats bad, more expensive! Maybe then things would roll over!

  3. Due to the way that our atmosphere is layered, it will take around fifty years before the CFC's and other ozone depleting chemicals to actually reach the stratospheric layer where the ozone exists, so even if we stopped their release,  right now, it will be fifty years before the ozone layer can even begin to fix itself.
