Ana Ivanovic is now no1,but also Sharapova,Jankovic,Kuzi...want that place...

Who and when will take it?

I think Sharapova will be no1 very soon, and maybe Jankovic too...

If Safina continues to play so good she also can reach top3 maybe no1 'till end of the year...

  1. First of all Safina will not be #1 at anytime during the forseeable future. I can say that about Jankovic as well. I love Ana and I hope that she can keep # 1 for some time.

  2. 1 month

  3. I hope Ana keeps #1 for a looooooooooong time, lol. Then Jankovic can have it. I hope Ana does good under pressure, she did very well yesterday! :D

    IDJE ANA!!

  4. I think Sharapova is gonna regain it but i hope she doesn't also Safina is sneaking up on the top 5. But Ivanovic will need 2 do well at WIMBLEDON to maintain #1.

  5. she won't be #1 for too long (i hope so)

  6. she'll stay that way for about a few months.. next number one will be jankovic... perhaps..

  7. Not for long. At least that is my opinion and I saw an interview with Mats Wilander and he said the same thing.

There are too many really hard hitting women/girls out there all with the same characteristics. None of them is really dominant because they are all too similar. They will have good days and bad days and the number one will pass around between them. there is no real "outstanding head and shoulders above the crowd" type player yet. Maybe Ivanovic, with time, can become that kind of player but she's not there yet. It could be Safina,Sharapova Jankovic or Kuznetova or somebody else that still has to burst on the scene.

  8. I don't think she'll be at #1 for an extensive period.  The top 4 women are all so close in points that every week or two we could see a change in the rankings.  I think Maria will probably take back the #1 spot after Wimbledon.  Ana has to make it to at least the semis there to hold onto her points, while Maria and Jelena both stand to gain a lot of points if they make it past the 4th round, where they both finished last year at Wimbledon.  But we'll see what happens.  It should make for a very exciting race from now until the end of the year.

  9. i think she'll keep the #1 title for a while. she's improving her game and that's what a number 1 player needs to do.

  10. i think it depends on sharapova, jankovic and kuzi, and who may win wimbledon. if not,i'm pretty sure ana will keep the ranking for a few more weeks. i certainly don't believe it will be a long stay.....just too much competition. and the hard courts are coming up and that's a surface maria, jelena sveta all thrive on.

  11. After the clay season, I believe Sharapova will dominate, along with Serena, and Safina. Maria will take over the position very soon, and it may last until end of year. Then Safina or Serena will come closer. Jelena will be probably one of the contender, but I'm afraid she will end like Sabatini. Great player, but only achieve no. 2 as her best. Hope not, cause I love Jelena so much.

  12. these ladies are really lucky hardene retired, cus theyre nothing compared to her

but i hope ana stays up there for a while

sharapova cant handle that, shes a baby
