First thing just ignore the people that have a comment about everything, big deal the question was in the wrong section. As for the UE checks, I was told it should be about 4 weeks until checks start going out. The first letter they are sending is just a basic form letter that only gives you an 800# to call, the 2nd letter is supposed to explain how much you are getting and for how many weeks. I found out by UE that 13 weeks is UP TO 13 weeks so that is not guarenteed either. Good luck.

OK...I can see how you can confuse the immigration section with the unemployement section; they sound a lot alike.  

Anyhow, if you are unemployed and have or recently had been receiving unemployment, then you should have received a letter/form from the unemployment agency.  It takes approximately four weeks to receive your first check.
