whenever it feels right to eat...whenever i get a filling my teeth always feel weird to eat so i dont until they dont feel weird anymore.  So just eat whenever you want to

If you've had pain relief (anaethsetic) then you should wait at least 2 hrs, just incase you bite your tongue, gums or lips. If you were brave and took no pain relief then you can eat straight away.

When the numbness goes away. The only thing you really need to worry about is eating when your mouth is numb, you could take a big bite out of your teeth or tongue!!

If it is a tooth colored filling you should wait for the numbness to wear off, if your not numb you can eat right away the filling would already be set. If it is a grey or amalgam filling, you need to wait a few hours until the filling is completely set.
